ARMY COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE, SHIVAPURI HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY (18 OCT 2019)

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Purna Chandra Thapa, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Shailendra Khanal and Inspector General of Armed Police Force Shailendra Kumar Shrestha (Retd) were honoured by the 'Certificate of Honour' during the 'Hall Of Fame' Induction Ceremony held at Army Command and Staff College, Shivapuri, Kathmandu on Oct 18, 2019. 

The Portrait of all three Honourees was also inducted into the 'Hall of Fame' in the Army Command and Staff College. In the history of Nepali Army (NA), COAS General Thapa is the the first Chief of the Army Staff graduated from Army Command and Staff College. Likewise, IGAPF Khanal and Shrestha are also the alumnae of the college.

The 'College Hall of Fame' ceremony which is first of its kind organized by the Army Command and Staff College provides an excellent opportunity to recognize national and international graduates of the College, who have attained through merit the highest command positions in their respective organizations. The inductees are presented a 'Certificate of Honour' and a framed portrait of the Honourees is displayed on ‘College Hall of Fame'.

Addressing the ceremony all the three Honourees thanked the Army Command and Staff College for honouring them with the award. 

The event also featured with the unveiling the statue of “Immortal Commander” by the Chief of Army Staff General Purna Chandra Thapa within the college premises established in an honour of all the graduates of Army Command and Staff College.

Defense Secretary, President of Nepali Army Wives Association (NAWA), Chief of General Staff, Heads of the sister security organizations, General Officers of Nepali Army, Registrar and Professors of Tribhuvan University, Former Commandants, Faculty of the college and Student officers of SN 26 Army Command and Staff College and family members among others were present during the Induction Ceremony.
